The Real Estate Equity Research Associate position at Ambit would likely involve fundamental research on companies within the Real Estate sector, including fast growing REITs sector. Work will involve analysing company financials, business models and industry trends. The role would also entail financial modelling, help the lead analyst preparing reports and investment recommendations to support investment decisions. 

Role purpose

The real estate associate will help in:

• Collating sector data on monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc basis.
• Conducting on-ground research by visiting real estate projects and meeting industry brokers.
• Financial modelling of real estate companies and analysis thereof.
• Research on specific companies and industry. Draw company specific insights by analysing industry and competitive landscape.
• As part of the real estate team, there is going to be a lot of emphasis on doing ground research. This is something that has helped Ambit build a competitive edge.

 Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly result updates.
• Write regular research notes.
• Contribute to channel check notes.
• Update financial models with quarterly and annual data from quarterly statutory filings, investor presentations and annual reports.
• Working on client requests and adhering to timelines.

Key requirements/pre-requisites

• Real Estate background (either research or industry) 
• Well versed with excel/financial modelling 
• Ability to grasp financial concepts quickly 
• Comfortable with working long-hours (10-12 daily) and sometimes weekends.
• We start our day at 7:45 AM in the morning
• Location: Mumbai 
• Experience: 3–5 Years
• Education: CA / MBA / CFA / PG in Finance
